Seeing in Chinese New Year with Plymouth University

Not long ago the Plymouth Self Storage team attended an event to mark the Chinese New Year with the lovely students over at Plymouth University. We thought the Chinese New Year should be celebrated properly and so were delighted to attend this exciting student networking event with plenty of entertainment and fun-filled workshops!

We had a great evening welcoming in the Chinese New Year with fortune telling, lantern painting, Chinese speakers and of course, a raffle! Everyone one of our guests was warmly welcomed with tasty foods and a drink so there were high spirits all round.

Although students had the chance to network with future employers, meet other students and connect with businesses to develop knowledge of Chinese business. We wanted to make sure that it was really a night to remember so we came up with a great idea to keep the students on their toes. Plymouth Self Storage asked students if they could use their clever minds to tell us how many Legos were inside a box. The lucky winner was post-graduate student Renjie with a scarily close guess just 6 pieces of Lego out, managing to win the fantastic prize of £200 worth of Drake Circus Shopping Mall vouchers – sounds like a spree is in order Renjie!

Here at Plymouth Self Storage we had a wonderful evening knowing that students not only took away some great prizes but also gained some valuable knowledge about the Chinese business markets. We look forward to the next Chinese New Year celebration!
